Selfie post for FSTHEOR class
My partner Gail and I decided to use moment cam for this activity just because it seemed like less of a hassle than bitstrip.
On Randy David’s essay on gadgets and selfies:
Personally, I think that it’s an absolutely great idea to keep some photos of certain events. Each and every photograph may have sentimental memories in them. Going through old photos make us nostalgic; we may even relieve the memories and events we’ve been through. Each and every photo lies a story from our life that can be shared upon others.
People may say “you’re not living in the moment” just cause you’re too busy taking photographs or videos. I think that it’s totally okay to take photos during exciting events. As long as we don’t abuse the gadget we hold, then we’re fine. The best lenses we have are our eyes, so don’t let gadgets get in the way of absolute joy.
Perhaps selfies are fine, too. I think it help boosts the self-esteem of others. Although personally, I prefer real time photographs of events and emotion rather than selfies and total vanity.
